My husband and I recently moved out of our giant house in Irving into a smaller 3-bedroom apartment that feels right for our cozy rat family and golden doodle. The whole month of June felt like a blur of visiting in-laws, weddings, graduation parties and an valiant attempt to keep up with Visual Arts Passage classes. My husband and I are really looking forward to having things finally calm down for the month of July so we can settle into our typical routine, creating art together.
Duke BBQ will be missed and so will the bluebonnets as we enter the hottest months of the year. Things in Texas are also becoming pretty contentious. I hadn’t realized I’d be losing so many rights as a woman making this move down. It’s really worrying for us, since we were considering a family and now our options are severely limited.
